PERSONAS & ARTISTAS
The journey of Cabaret da Cecília began in 2018, when we occupied a historic mansion in the Santa Cecília neighborhood for 8 years. Inspired by the aesthetics and freedom of classic French and Berlin cabarets, the venue helped renew the bohemian and cultural scene of the neighborhood, making Rua Fortunato one of the most celebrated streets in the district. A meeting place in the central nightlife scene, we built a strong identity linked to underground culture and transgressive art, hosting a multiplicity of expressions: from the revival of burlesque dance to striking performances by drag queens and kings, including jazz shows, poetry, comedy, and theatrical seasons. This history of transgression has consolidated us as a vibrant meeting point, where the proximity between the audience and the artist has always been celebrated, paving the way for the evolution and expansion we experience today.
OUR HISTORY
Inspired by the aesthetics and freedom of classic French and Berlin cabarets, it has established itself as a meeting point where the closeness between the audience and the artist is celebrated.
PARA ARTISTAS E AMANTES DA ARTE
Cecilia's Cabaret is entering a new phase, establishing itself as a plural space where art and freedom are the main protagonists. Our mission is to go beyond conventional entertainment, actively promoting the breaking down of concepts and prejudices through culture and conviviality. With a new concept, the venue aims to be a welcoming and safe environment, where each night becomes an immersive, authentic, and liberating experience. In this new phase, the Cabaret is expanding its audience and the experiences offered, proposing new ways to experience the venue and its programming. We want to invite people to explore the unexpected, in a space designed so that everyone can express their true essence without judgment.
